You've probably noticed I love experimenting with my (17 bottles) of Barry M Nail Paint. I normally have each nail painted different or alternating colours, but I thought I'd try two-tone nails for a change. I quite like the outcome! Especially with the red and blue as they remind me a lot of 3D specs. If only you could buy holographic nail paint!
gods & goddesses

Some photos of friends and I getting ready for a Gods & Goddesses themed party. I went to an embroidery store in the Brighton Laines and bought all these individual silk roses that I wired around the skirting of my Arrogant Cat dress. I also wore a strip of flower tapestry across my forehead and had on my Topshop platform sandals (find on my Shoes link to the left) to complete my 'flower goddess' outfit. Definitely one of my favourite choices of theme for a fancy dress night.

my makeup bag

I thought I would post my favourite pieces of makeup as they are the best quality I've found, after a lot of searching and testing. As you can see in my photos, I have quite fair skin, brown hair and blue eyes, so this exact selection may not suit everyone. But I wear very simple, natural makeup which in my opinion looks good on everyone!

This is the best makeup I've found for a natural day look, and can be used in the evening along with a more smokey eye, eyebrow liner/powder and some subtle false lashes (Mac do the best in my opinion). No matter what your colouring is you should be able to find tones from the above brands that suit you. When it comes to makeup I have an absolute phobia of people who cake on foundation and mascara, the aim should be to look like you're hardly wearing anything at all. Enhance your features rather than try to create new ones. And I'm a firm believer that good makeup should feel like you're not wearing any at all. So next time you're looking to buy new makeup give some of these a go and let me know what you think.

Fur

Now I completely respect anyone for disliking the fact that I bought a real fur jacket, but on principal I would only ever buy fur second hand. Buying it first hand adds to the demand from stores, which of course leads to more cruelty. So I would encourage anyone looking to buy fur to only go to second hand/vintage stores to do so.

PEACH RABBIT FUR JACKET, eBay, £16

I also own a fake fur jacket (below) that I also bought vintage which I live in! I'm afraid the photo below is pretty poor quality but it's the only one I have of the jacket.

TOPSHOP bags
I can't stop thinking about...

BLACK WHIPSTITCH FRINGE LEATHER RUCKSACK
£30

BLACK WHIPSTITCH FRINGE LEATHER SATCHEL
£80
PURPLE HOLOGRAPHIC SNAKE PRINT BOX BAG
£30

CANVAS AND PU SUITCASE
£68
tassled t-shirts

After seeing these t-shirts I knew I wanted one. While topshop have some standard (pretty boring) ones, that obviously everyone's going to have, I began looking in vintage stores to try and find a more original style like those seen above. On my break from work last week I went to Beyond Retro in Soho and found a perfect one.

Sorry for looking so miserable in the photo! I'd had about 2 hours sleep and been out all day. But anyway I absolutely love the top and can't wait to wear it out in the sunshine. I just dug out a pair of very skimpy torn up pale denim shorts that I'll definitely be wearing with this... the kind of outfit to which my dad would probably scream out "Are you wearing any clothes at all?!" all the better really ;)
